Out in the City

If you don't live near the mountains, Mt. Near mobile workshops will bring the outdoor experience to you.
The lack of transportation is a barrier for many people from urban spaces to gain outdoor skills. To eliminate that barrier, the Mt. Near van aims to bring those learning experiences directly to urban spaces.

Certified Guides
Look for our certified guides in their Mt. Near official polo shirts and they would be happy to teach you about local trails and other useful outdoor skills. Hiking guides wear green certified 'Hiking Guide' shirts that are easily spotted for hikers on the trail.

Building a Community
It is part of the solutions system for the audience to learn outdoor skills and be able to teach those skills to other people from urban communities. The Mt. Near app invites hikers to become certified guides by attending these workshops. The workshops then encourage attendees to use the app to hike.

Urban Locations
Mt. Near will hold workshops at urban centers where it is accessible by public transportation, bikes, or foot. This makes it easier for those who have limited access to transportation to learn outdoor skills. The Mt. Near van can bring outdoor equipment, personnel, signage to these central locations. For Mt. Near organized hikes, the Mt. Near van can carpool people from cities to the trails.
